The Lee-Enfield Mk.4 was an evolution of the original Lee-Enfield rifle from before WWI. Many improvements were made, and in 1941 the Lee-Enfield Mk.4 was released. Soldiers that used the Lee-Enfield were trained so vigorously that they were capable of firing 30 aimed shots per minute, which was so fast that some German soldiers would think they were under automatic weapon fire. There was a sniper version of the Lee-Enfield Mk.4 made during WWII that was equipped with a detachable optical scope mounts that were mounter to the left side of the reciever. In the game the sniper version has a 3.76X scope.
