Historically the No. 36 hand grenade was considered a defensive grenade due to it's high-shrapnel content, which could be throw towards an enemy to discourage them from advancing. In Hidden &emp; Dangerous 2, however, the No. 36 instead has a longer fuse delay, which allows it to bounce before exploding, or to be dropped and explode behind you.
