When the German forces first encountered the M1 Bazooka in Tunis they were amazed by this cheap, simple and effective weapon. Soon they developed their own Bazooka, the 88 mm RPzB-43 Panzerschreck (Tank Terror.). The main differencies were in the calibre, and in a shield, which the Panzerscherck had, protecting the gunner from being burned by the rocket's flames. The 88 mm rocket was an obvious choiche, because it's was already in production for mortars. The RPzB-43 was operated by two man, the first one carried the gun itself, aimed and fired it, the other trooper carried the rockets and reloaded it.
